Timing out/losing connection

I've been trying to jokn the server for a couple days but I keep either timing out or losing connection, I have good connection but don't know why it's losing connection. Has anyone had or been able to fix this problem?

Make sure addons are installed
1 options - other - allow all custom files from server
2 if you have Linux. Remove it get windows.
3 verify game. Right click gmod - properties - verify integrity of game files

Believe it’s properties-> betas then x64

Unsub from all your add-ons, then uninstall all your add-ons. Close Gmod, verify game cache. Resub to all the mods, then start gmod.

Then go to options -> other -> allow only map files. If you connect with only map files, then disconnect and then switch back to all custom content.

Also, you don't have to change to only map files, but it will make loading in easier. Timing out usually happens when you take to long to load in. (Slow connection, errors, etc)
